Adjusting Auger Finger Timing

IMPORTANT: Before making any adjustments, raise platform until full weight of platform and reel is supported by the combine feeder house.

Feeding between the platform and feeder house can sometimes be improved by advancing the auger finger timing.

Loosen nuts (A).

Rotate casting (B) counterclockwise to move fingers to minimum of 16 mm (5/8 in.) to floor, or flex hold down bar in center of platform.

Tighten nut (A) to specification

IMPORTANT: (Flex platforms only) Place two 100 mm x 100 mm (4 in. x 4 in.) blocks under center section of cutterbar 609 mm (24 in.) apart (blocks should not extend past the rear of skid shoes) prior to adjusting for minimum clearance.

(All platforms) To avoid damaging floor or fingers:

Maintain a minimum clearance between finger and floor, or flex hold down bar in center of platform of 16 mm (5/8 in.).

Keep nuts (A) tight.

Rotate auger by hand to check clearances.
