Install and Reprogram GREENSTAR System from Field Documentation or Parallel Tracking to Yield Mapping

When a GREENSTAR system is programmed for field documentation or parallel tracking and is moved to another machine to be used for Yield Mapping, the system must be reprogrammed.

The following procedures show the basic connections and programming steps needed to prepare the system to operate in Yield Mapping mode. The mobile processor, display, and position receiver must be reprogrammed to operate in the Yield Mapping mode.

NOTE: Yield Mapping does not require a keycard to operate however, a Keycard must be in the mobile processor in order for the system to be reprogrammed from either parallel tracking or field documentation. All Keycards have yield mapping program installed on them.

1. Disconnect main wiring harness connector from the position receiver connector and remove position receiver from machine.

2. Remove cap screws (A) and display assembly.

3. Disconnect gray (B) and black (C) wiring harness connectors.

4. Install position receiver onto machine and connect machine wiring harness to position receiver.

5. Attach display to bracket with previously removed hardware.

6. Attach gray connector to mobile processor connector and black connector to display connector.

7. Install Keycard (A) into top slot of mobile processor.

8. Turn ignition key to RUN position.

9. Press continue to cancel the following warning messages.

  • KeyCard Warning
  • Setup Data Missing
  • Data Network Error

NOTE: After installing the Keycard the following warning screen may appear and the automatic software load may start. Press continue to automatically reprogram the system from parallel tracking/field documentation to yield mapping.

10. Press continue to automatically reprogram the system. This should complete the reprogramming.

NOTE: After pressing continue the system will check the version of software on the mobile processor and the moisture sensor. If the software on the Keycard is newer then on the components a warning screen will be displayed promoting the operator to update the software. Press continue on this screen to automatically update the software.

11. Press SETUP button to access Setup screen.

20. When programming is complete, RUN-Yield Map - Page 1 screen will appear.

21. Press RUN button.

22. Remove the KeyCard from the mobile processor and insert yield mapping data card.
