When combining standing crops such as oats, wheat, or sorghum, the rigid cutterbar should be adjusted to fully extended position (see Cutterbar Positions in adjustment section).
For sorghum and sunflowers the auger may need to be raised (see Adjusting Auger Height in adjustment section).

Set reel so slats strike just below lowest grain heads and just ahead of knife.
Reel tines must be set at right angles to cutterbar (see Adjusting Reel Tine Position in adjustment section).
