IMPORTANT: Recommended service intervals apply to average conditions. Service more often if platform is operated under adverse conditions.

Lubricate with John Deere Multipurpose SD Polyurea Grease High Temperature/Extreme Pressure lubricant or an equal SAE Multipurpose High Temperature Grease with Extreme Pressure (EP) performance at the intervals (in hours) shown with the lubricating symbol.

1. (BOTH SIDES) Grease reel shaft housing (5 pumps or until grease protrudes).

2. (BOTH SIDES) Grease reel lift adjustment casting.

3. Grease knife head bearing.

IMPORTANT: It is normal for knife drive gearbox to become very warm during

operation. DO NOT over grease in an attempt to reduce temperature, seal damage can result.

4. Grease knife drive gearbox (10 pumps every 50 hours).

5. Align holes in shield to grease spline zerk. Grease shield bearings.
