Knife Hold-Down Clearance
1.
Position knife sections (A) so they are centered on rock guards (B).
2.
Apply light down pressure on the knife section adjacent to adjustment screw (as shown in figure 1).
NOTE:
Tighten adjusting screw until light pressure is applied to feeler gauge.
3.
Slide a 0.50 mm (0.020 in) feeler gauge under hold down (C) and using adjustment screw (D) set gap as specified.
In tough conditions, clearance may be reduced to optimize cutting performance. Only adjust as needed as knife life is affected. Minimum hold down to section clearance is .3 mm (0.012 in.).
