Adjusting Reel Height
IMPORTANT:
Cutterbar fore-and-aft setting must be set before reel height is adjusted. Reel height must be checked with reel tines directly above knife.
Pickup Reel-Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between tips of reel fingers and cutterbar. Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between reel bat tubes and center auger fingers. Less clearance can result in damage to reel fingers and bats, auger fingers, knife and guards.
Slat Reel-Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between slats and cutterbar. Less clearance can result in damage to reel slats.
Steel Tine Reel-Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between tips of reel fingers and cutterbar. Keep 38 mm (1-1/2 in.) minimum clearance between reel bat tubes and center auger fingers. Less clearance can result in damage to reel fingers and bats, auger fingers, knife and guards.
NOTE:
Adjust minimum reel height with fore/aft cylinders fully retracted.

FLEX CUTTERBAR PLATFORM: Lock out flex cutterbar (see Operating Flex Platform In Rigid Mode).

Loosen jam nut (A).
3.
Use a wrench on flat spots of cylinder rod (B) to raise and lower reel. Ensure both ends of reel are set equally and that clearance between reel tines and knife meets specification. Tighten jam nut.
