Fuel Tank-Filling
CAUTION:
Handle fuel carefully. Do not refuel the machine while smoking. Turn off engine, set parking brake and remove key before filling tank. Rotary screen is turning when engine is running.
Fuel tank cap (A) is not vented. Primary tank breather provides air from intake manifold to fuel tank. Excess air vents through breather (B).
If breather is plugged, check air line and fittings between intake manifold and fuel tank. To clean breather, a light tap against breather will normally knock out dirt. If screen is plugged, remove breather from end of tube for cleaning in a safe solvent.
CAUTION:
Do not overfill fuel tank. Bodily injury can result from fuel splash back. Leakage can result from expansion of fuel. If the tank is filled too full, then left in direct sunlight or if temperature gets too hot, the tank will overflow.
