Chopper Stationary Knife Blade-Replacement

causym CAUTION: Shut off engine, set park brake and remove key. Before performing service or maintenance on raised chopper, use lift actuator to snap lock-out pins into place.

1. Loosen right-hand and left-hand cap screw (A) and lower knife assembly to position shown. Tighten right-hand and left-hand cap screw.

2. Loosen eight lock nuts (B).

causym CAUTION: Knife sections are sharp.

3. Remove pin (C) from retaining rod.

4. Push retaining rod (A) out. Turn knives over for additional usage, or replace knives if worn on both sides.

5. Push retaining rod back in.

6. Install pin (C) as shown.

7. Tighten eight lock nuts (B).

8. Loosen right-hand and left-hand cap screw (A) and position knife assembly in full up position. Tighten right-hand and left-hand cap screw.
