Transporting Combine on a Trailer
CAUTION:
Avoid collisions with other roadway users. Before transporting on a public roadway check and follow local regulations regarding the use of lights, flags, over-width signs, pilot vehicles and other requirements for wide loads.
1.
Empty grain tank, swing unloading auger back, remove header and remove outside dual wheels (if equipped).

2.
To reduce overall height of combine, remove quick-lock pins (A) and grain tank corner extensions (B) (if equipped).

NOTE:
It is important to fold the front and rear grain tank extensions in first, then fold the left-hand and right-hand grain tank extensions in last to reduce the height the machine.
3.
Fold down front and rear grain tank extensions, then fold down left-hand and right hand grain tank extensions (if equipped).

4.
Remove quick-lock pin (A) and sample trough (B).
5.
Place grain sample trough in storage position.
6.
Release clamps (C) and lower auger.

7.
Tape exhaust pipe cap (A) closed to prevent damage to turbocharger.

Lower hand rail (B).

CAUTION:
Possible injury or death to you or other can occur from falling. Use a ladder or equivalent with an appropriate load rating to access location (A) when installing unloading auger retaining pin (B). Do not attempt to access location from engine platform.
9.
Retrieve pin (B) and spring pin (C) from combine tool box.
10.
Install hardware as shown to retain unloading auger.

11.
Wire down ladder extension and platform (A).

12.
Make sure that pin (A) is installed through locking plate (B) and retained with spring pin at front corner of right-hand gull wing door and door latch (C) is fully engaged.
13.
Wire down door at latch (C).

14.
Make sure pins (A) are installed through locking plates (B) and retained with spring pins at front and rear corners of left-hand gull wing doors and door latch (C) is fully engaged.
15.
Wire down door at latches (C).

16.
Swing left-hand and right-hand warning light (A) rearward.

17.
Cover up slow moving vehicle emblem (A).
18.
Drive combine on trailer and put multi-function handle in neutral.
19.
Stop engine, remove key and set parking brake.
20.
Fold radio antenna down.
IMPORTANT:
Fasten combine to trailer with chains.
21.
Fasten combine to trailer with chains.
