Replacing Stalk Rolls
CAUTION:
Keep hands and feet away from stalk rolls.
(Straight or Tapered Stalk Rolls) To replace the stalk roll (A), remove two M12 x 50 mm cap screws (B) and a double spring pin. Periodically check that bolts are torqued to specification.

(Knife Stalk Rolls) (Optional) To replace the stalk roll knives (C), remove M8 x 50 cap screws and M10 x 16 cap screws (D). Install new stalk rolls and new cap screws with pre-applied thread locking adhesive. Use H150942, M8 x 50 cap screw and H150941, M10 x 16 cap screws.
Thread locking adhesive must be applied to the original cap screws if new cap screws are not available. Clean the cap screws and apply a high strength thread locking adhesive such as TY9371, T43515 or equivalent. Torque M8 cap screws to specification.

The stalk roll castings (E) are attached to the shaft with M10 x 30 six lobe head screws and a double spring pin. Torque M10 screws to specification.

IMPORTANT:
Check after first eight to twelve hours of operation when corn head is new or when stalk rolls are replaced.
