Attaching And Detaching Header from Feeder House
CAUTION:
Do not leave drive shafts on combine. Personal injury or machine damage may occur if feeder house is accidentally engaged.
IMPORTANT:
Drive shafts with U-joints are used on the left-hand and right-hand sides of all approved headers.
NOTE:
For complete attaching and detaching procedures refer to the header Operator's Manual.
Disconnect telescoping drive shaft from feeder house at the quick disconnect coupler (A) on left and right sides.
Place telescoping drive shaft in storage position (B).
NOTE:
Latch pins should be fully retracted when handle is all the way up for detaching, if pins do not fully retract (see Feeder House latching Pins Cleanout or Feeder House Manual Unlatching in this section).
Manually unlatching feeder house pins may be required for some combines, see Manual Latch Feeder House Pins in Attaching Platform to Pre 60 Series Combines section.
Remove quick-lock pin and slide lock plate through multi-coupler latch assembly.
Raise handle to disconnect multi-coupler.
Remove multi-coupler cover from storage position on header and place cover on combine multi-coupler.
Place and lock multi-coupler in storage position (C).
