Raised Height Skid Plates (Shoes) Flex only

NOTE: Normal height stone dam (B), 57 mm (2 1/4 in), is shown in Figure 1. Low Stone Dam can also be used with the raised height skid plates.

Raised height skid plates (A) are recommended for rocky or excessive residue left on the ground in double crop operations. Raised height skid plates will improve feeding of crop by reducing ingestion of excessive residue into the cutterbar and platform, and also allows for more even cutterbar float over uneven terrain (see your John Deere dealer).
