When Harvesting standing crops such as oats, wheat, or sorghum, the rigid cutterbar should be adjusted to fully extended position (see Cutterbar Position in the Rigid Platform Adjustment section).
For sorghum and sunflowers the auger may need to be raised (see Adjusting Auger Height in the Auger and Stripper Adjustment section).

Set reel to strike just below lowest grain heads and just ahead of knife.
Reel figures must be set at right angles to cutterbar .
