Separator Grate Covers (Attachment)

Recommended when distribution cannot be evened out using return pan deflectors. Separator grate covers (A) are installed on the separator grates to help balance the chaff load to the cleaning shoe.

Distribution to the cleaning system is evenly distributed by the design of the return pan. Generally there is no need for separator grate covers for distribution purposes. If there is excessive chaff loading, the covers can be installed up to 3 rows on each side to minimize chaff loads on the cleaning system.

Recommended for very dry small grain. Covers (A) are installed on the separator grates to help balance the chaff load to the cleaning shoe.

Small Wire Concave Initial Cover Configuration

• Install two rows (eight covers) on right-hand side and three rows (twelve covers) on left-hand side. Make adjustments as necessary depending on conditions.

Large Wire Concave Initial Cover Configuration

• Install three rows (twelve covers) on right-hand side and two rows (eight covers) on left-hand side. Make adjustments as necessary depending on conditions.
