Fuel Tank-Filling

CAUTION: Handle fuel carefully. Do not refuel the machine while smoking. Shut OFF engine, set parking brake and remove key before filling tank. Rotary screen is turning when engine is running.

Do not overfill fuel tank. Bodily injury can result from fuel splash back. Leakage can result from expansion of fuel. If the tank is filled too full, then left in direct sunlight or if temperature gets too hot, the tank will overflow.

Fuel tank cap (A) is not vented. Primary tank breather provides air from intake manifold to fuel tank. Excess air is vented through a breather (B) located by the hydraulic reservoir.

Visually inspect fuel tank breather (A). Do not allow excessive amounts of chaff or debris to collect on top of breather. If breather is covered with debris, it will not allow fuel tank to breathe. Remove fuel tank breather from hose (B) and clean.
