1. Fuel Precleaner - Close fuel tank shut off valve. Remove precleaner filter (A) and clean screen. Install precleaner filter and open fuel tank shut off valve and allow bowl to fill (see Cleaning the Precleaner Filter in Service the Engine section.)

2. Fuel System Water Separator - Check separator bowl (B) for water or when service code ECU/A00 97.31 is displayed. Open drain and drain water out

separator bowl (see Draining the Water Separator in Service the Engine section).

3. Replace Fuel Filter - Remove and replace fuel filter (C) when a performance decline is noticed and service codes ECU/A00 94.01 and ECU/A00 94.18 are generated (see Service the Engine section for Replacing the Fuel Filter).
