HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure - Rigid Platforms

HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure (Auto float) allows the operator to select the ground pressure of a rigid head maintaining a constant feeder house lift cylinder pressure and return to that pressure automatically. It uses sensors to measure the pressure of the header lift cylinders. The accuracy of the system is greatly affected by accumulator precharge and accumulator shut off valve settings.

HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure (Auto float) must be calibrated each time the header is used with the combine (see Float Calibration Procedures section).

Activation buttons 1, 2 or 3 located on the multifunction control handle are used to select one of three different programmed header pressures.

Operation:

HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure will be active when:

  • Properly equipped header is connected to combine
  • Engine is running
  • Road transport disconnect switch is in field position
  • HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure mode is enabled
  • Header is engaged

The system is enabled by pressing button (A) on the display. Symbol (B) will appear on the display.

Activate HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure by pressing activation buttons 1, 2 or 3 on multifunction control handle. Arrow symbols (C) indicate the system is active.

Number (D) in the lower left corner of the display indicates which activation button was selected.

To change the HEADERTRAK - Ground Pressure setpoint (E) of the activation buttons, press the desired activation button and adjust the pressure using the stubble height and ground pressure control dial (F) to move the pressure setpoint.

Turning stubble height and ground pressure control dial towards the plus (+) symbol will reduce header ground pressure (raising header) or towards minus (-) symbol will increase header ground pressure (lowering header).

Bar graph (G) and numeric display (H) show the lift cylinder pressure. Units are kPa for metric system and psi for English system.

Manually adjusting header height using header raise/lower switch (I) or tilting header to the left/right will deactivate the system.

Pressing any of the activation buttons will reactivate the system. Header will move to the selected pressure.

The system can be disabled by pressing button (A) on the display.

NOTE: While moving throughout the field, the sensor measures the pressure of the header lift cylinders. The system actuates the header raise/lower solenoid valve to maintain the setpoint pressure.
