Chopper (General Information)

causym CAUTION: Do not let anyone stand behind the chopper while it is running. Shut OFF engine, set parking brake and key removed before adjusting chopper.

Before performing service or maintenance on raised chopper, use lift actuator to snap lock-out pins into place.

Normal use wears the bottom of the chopper fins to a sharp edge.

For Chopper High Speed:

  • Grain

For Chopper Low Speed:

  • Corn

To change chopper to high speed or low speed, see Changing Chopper Drive Speeds later in this section.

Start with the knife bank in the "out" position. If a better cut quality is desired, adjust knife bank to the "in" position (see Stationary Knife Blade Adjustment later in this section).
