Fuel Precleaner Filter-Cleaning (8.1 L Engine)
NOTE:
Do not clean fuel precleaner and change primary and secondary fuel filters at the same time. Doing so will make it difficult to restart the machine. Perform this procedure, then run the engine before changing the primary and secondary fuel filters.
Clean fuel precleaner filter if buildup is visible on filter screen or if service code ECU/A00 1347.07 is displayed on cornerpost.

Start engine and run 3 to 5 minutes at low idle if machine had not been previously running.

Shut OFF engine.

Close fuel shut off at bottom of fuel tank to prevent drain back within supply line.
4.
Thoroughly clean fuel precleaner assembly and surrounding area.
5.
Remove precleaner bowl (A) using a 25 mm (1 in.) socket on bottom of bowl.
6.
Clean filter screen and precleaner bowl. Inspect o-ring (B).
7.
Install screen and tighten precleaner bowl.
8.
Open fuel shut off to allow precleaner to fill.
9.
Start engine and run 3 to 5 minutes at low idle.
