Raising and Removing Center Gatherer Shields and Points.

causym CAUTION: Never run corn head with center shields raised or removed. Always shut off engine before leaving machine.

IMPORTANT: When tightening cap screw (A), do not exceed specification.

Specification

Cap Screws -Torque 20 N·m (15 lb-ft)

1. Loosen cap screw (A) on the rear of the gatherer shield and raise stop (B) to the vertical position.

2. Raise the point and remove quick-lock pins (A).

3. IF EQUIPPED: Disconnect ACTIVE HEADER CONTROL sensor wiring harness connector (A) (located under auger floor) from main wiring harness connector.

4. Press down on the point tip and lift the point and gatherer shield.

5. Slide the gatherer shield to the right until the shield is free of support pins (A).

causym CAUTION: The center shield and point assembly is heavy and awkward to handle.

6. Lift off point and gatherer shield assembly.
