Leveling Header (50 series Combines without CONTOUR MASTER System)

1. Park machine on a flat level surface and set parking brake.

2. Raise or lower feeder house until level and place support stands under feeder house frame.

3. Shut off engine and remove key.

NOTE: Retain all hardware for re-assembly.

4. Remove cap screws (A), beam supports (B), shims (C), plates (D), drum deflectors (E), and drum shield (F). Discard components (A, B, C, E and F). Retain plates (D).

5. Inspect beam support retaining nuts (A). If nuts are M16, proceed to step 8. If not, perform steps 6 and 7.

6. Drill out nuts to a hole size of 14.25 mm +/- .25 mm.

7. Tap holes to a thread size 16 mm with a 2 mm thread pitch.

8. Attach hook assemblies (A) and shim (B) (one shim per hook assembly) to feeder house using two countersink screws (C) each.

NOTE: Do not tighten the following hardware until all remaining components are installed.

9. Install replacement drum shield (D) (H204552 for 9600, 9610, and 9650 models or H204516 for all other models) using original hardware.

10. Install replacement drum deflectors (E) and previously removed plates (F) using original hardware.

11. Drill 9.3 mm holes in feeder house face at locations (G) and install M10 self tapping hardware provided.

12. Tighten all hardware.
