1. Oil thrust washer in auger slip clutch with John Deere SAE 30 oil.

2. Oil thrust washer in row unit slip clutches with John Deere SAE 30 oil.

IMPORTANT: Keep oil level to specification to prevent excessive chain wear.

3. Check oil level of drive chains (both sides), with corn head flat on level ground. Oil must be level with bottom of check plug hole (A). Add SAE 80/90 gear lube as necessary through access door (B).

Drain oil at drain plug (C) and refill every season.

Specification

Drive Chain Oil -Capacity 1.1 L (1 qt)

IMPORTANT: Do not add more than 1/2-1 pump of grease every 200 hours.

4. Check movement of ACTIVE HEADER CONTROL ground sensors. Add 1/2 pump of grease to fitting if sensor arms are stiff or do not move freely.
