Adjusting Row Unit Drive Chain

Remove cap screws (A) and cover (B).

Adjust chain tension with tightener (A) so drive chain (B) is just tight enough to run without climbing or jumping sprockets. Torque tightener bolt to specifications.

Specification

Tightener Bolt -Torque 95 N·m (70 lb-ft)

NOTE: An overtightened chain will cause undue chain wear.

Reinstall cover and retain with cap screws and washers.

NOTE: 494 and 592 have only one row unit drive to adjust, (right-hand side only). 594, 692, 693, 694, 892, 893, 894, 1092 and 1293 Corn Heads have two row unit drives to adjust, one on each side.
