Adjusting Auger

causym CAUTION: Keep safety shields in place.

1. Both sides of corn head main frame and auger bearing carriers (A) are slotted for adjusting auger. Auger can be adjusted up and down and fore and aft for clearance.

2. Keep the auger adjusted down and to the rear as far as possible in normal dry conditions. In damp, sticky, or heavy trash conditions, adjust the auger up and forward to move material away from the row unit.

3. In normal conditions, keep a minimum of 6 mm (1/4 in.) clearance between auger and auger stripper.

4. The bearing carriers can be rotated 180° to raise the auger off of the floor 76 mm (3 in.) for use in food corn.
