Feeder House Conveyor Speed (Optional High Speed Feeder House Sprocket)-Changing

causym CAUTION: Raise feeder house, lower safety stop, shut OFF engine, set parking brake and remove key.

NOTE: 26/38 tooth sprocket is available as a bundle, or included in "Tough Handling Package" option from factory.

Feeder house conveyor chain can be set to two different speeds by selecting drive sprocket (A) on right-hand side of lower shaft.

Use small sprocket for low speed and large sprocket for high speed.

Important Notes About 38 Tooth Sprocket:

  • 38 tooth sprocket is not recommended for corn use.
  • 38 tooth sprocket should only be used with variable speed drive (if equipped) set to slowest speed.

Recommended for conditions when feeding is poor due to following crops and conditions:

  • Crops: Barley, Oats, Rice, Rye and Wheat
  • Conditions: High Volume, Green, Wet, Windrowed and Poor Feeding

As crop conditions change or feeding improves (dryer, more even windrows, lighter straw), it is recommended to use the 26 tooth sprocket. This slows chain speed and reduces potential for straw damage or pre-threshing and extends chain life.
