Preparing Platform for Field Operation (If Equipped with Slow Speed Integral Transport System)

causym CAUTION: Death to you or others can occur from feeder house inadvertently lowering. Completely raise feeder house and verify that safety stop is engaged when leaving the head attached to the combine to perform this procedure.

1. Attach platform to combine. (See ATTACHING AND DETACHING section of this manual)

2. Completely raise feeder house and lower safety stop (A) onto hydraulic cylinder rod.

3. Set parking brake, shut OFF engine, and remove key.

4. Disconnect 7-pin connector from transporting vehicle.

5. Open access door (A) in left-hand L-frame.

6. Remove harness from j-clamps on tongue.

7. Route 7-pin connector back to L-frame.

8. Store 7-pin connector inside left-hand L-frame.

9. Close access door.

NOTE: Decals can be found on the back of the platform to assist in converting the transport system. Each set of gauge wheels had their own decal. Steps are numerically ordered showing conversion from field position to transport system. To convert from transport to field, follow steps in reverse order.

10. Remove safety pin and key ring (E).

11. Pull up on latch (D) and remove front tongue section (B) from rear tongue section (C).

12. Slide tongue (B) section into bracket (F) and retain to left side of platform frame with pin (A).

13. Remove quick-lock pin (F).

14. Pull pin (G) and rotate until pin fits into lower hole.

15. Reinstall quick-lock pin (F) and remove rear tongue section (E).

16. On right side of platform reinstall rear tongue section (E) into bracket (H).

17. Use pin (D) to retain rear tongue section.

18. Pull and rotate pins (C) 90° to free bracket (A) from posts (B). Swing upward.

19. Retain support bracket (D) with pin (C).

20. Rotate wheels 90° so tongue clamps face the front of the draper.

21. Raise wheels until pin (B) snaps into place.

22. Remove pin (A) and key ring (B) to free support bracket (C).

23. Remove pin and key ring (A) and support bracket (B) from wheel assembly. Reinstall pins (A) to wheel assembly.

24. Remove pin and key ring (C) and relocate to hole (D).

25. Using support bracket (B) as a lever mechanism (as shown), rotate wheel 90° to field position.

26. Remove key ring on pin (E).

27. Pull pin (E) and rotate wheel assembly 90° so pin (E) will snap in place. Reinstall key ring to pin (E).

28. Install support bracket (C), as shown, using pin (A) and key ring (B).

29. Remove pin and key ring (A) and rotate wheel until pin can be inserted to hole (B). Install key ring to pin.

30. Pull pin (C) and slide wheel assembly towards rear of platform.

31. Using pin (A), retain wheel assembly to support bracket (B).

32. Open side shields on right-hand side of platform (See OPEN SIDE SHIELDS procedure in the MAINTENANCE section of this manual).

33. Remove pins (A).

34. Rotate warning lights (B and D) and SMV warning (C) until pins can be reinserted.

35. Close side shields.

36. Decrease float pressure to minimum.

37. Remove pin (A) to unlock the float system.

38. Store pin in hole (B). Repeat on opposite side.
