Remove and Install Telescoping Knife Drive Shaft

1. Remove side shield to reveal knife driveshaft (A) (See REMOVE AND INSTALL SIDE SHIELDS procedure in this section).

causym CAUTION: Knife driveshaft weighs approximately 20 kg (44 lb). Use a suitable lifting device when removing driveshaft.

2. Loosen cap screws and nuts (B) and remove driveshaft from 90° gearbox.

3. Loosen cap screws and nuts (C) and remove driveshaft from knife gearbox.

4. For Dual Knife Drive: To ensure knife timing, rotate knife gearbox until knife is positioned all the way outward before installing drive shaft.

5. Install driveshaft in reverse order of removal using torque specs below.
