Cleaning Material Build Up at Side Shields

NOTE: Small amounts of non-grain crop material pass out both ends of the knife, falling onto skid plates and vibrating rearward onto the ground.

In certain crop conditions (typically tough or damp), a slight build up of crop material can occur. It is a good practice to open side shields periodically and inspect the drive shaft (A) and knife drive (B), cleaning if necessary.
