Beginning of Season Service
1.
Raise reel and engage safety stops on reel lift cylinders.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use high-pressure washer spray directly on bearings, decals, or any other sensitive areas. High-pressure water can remove seals, lubricants, and decals.
2.
Wash any dirt or debris off of machine that accumulated during storage.
3.
Tighten side draper belts.
4.
Properly tighten tension on backshaft drive belt (See REMOVE AND INSTALL BACKSHAFT DRIVE BELT procedure in MAINTENANCE section of this manual).
5.
Reinstall side shields.
6.
Unlock the float system (See LOCK AND UNLOCK THE FLOAT SYSTEM procedure in ADJUSTMENTS - SUSPENSION AND LEVELING section of this manual).
7.
Check all fluid levels on gearcases.
8.
Apply grease where needed as outlined in the LUBRICATION section of this manual.
9.
Run platform at half-speed for a few minutes. Check for overheating bearings and gearcase leaks.
10.
Calibrate platform to machine (See CALIBRATION AND PROGRAMMING section of this manual).
11.
Review your operator's manuals for all equipment used.
