IMPORTANT:
Failure to level the draper float system before making any of the adjustments discussed in this section can lead to feeding problems and result in machine damage.
A tilt cylinder is located between the main frame and the attachment frame. This tilt adjuster, which changes the cutterbar and side draper tilt, is normally adjusted to a length of 493 mm (19-1/2 in.). The tilt adjuster has a minimum length of 413 mm (16-1/4 in.) and a maximum length of 574 mm (22 -1/2 in.) (See CUTTERBAR TILT ADJUST SWITCH procedure in the OPERATING THE PLATFORM section in this manual).

Lengthening the tilt adjuster pivots the cutterbar forward and increases the drop from side belt to center belt, improving the feeding. It also lowers the cutterbar of the platform increasing ground clearance at the leaf springs and attachment frame. Tilting the platform forward also rotates the platform moving the reel closer to the ground and extends the reel arm reach improving performance in down crops.
Shortening the tilt adjuster pivots the cutterbar rearward, raising the guard points off the ground and decreases the side belt angle.
