Each diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has a priority. The priority of the DTC is indicated in the way the DTC is displayed to the operator:

Stop - indicates a problem that requires the machine be stopped, the engine turned OFF immediately and the problem corrected. DTC is shown until the problem is resolved.

Service Alert - indicates a problem should be checked immediately.

Information - DTC is stored, but is not indicated to operator.
