(A) Opposed Knife Stalk Rolls—Optional

Recommended if:

• Using StalkMaster chopping corn heads.
• Need to cut and size corn stalks (10 - 16 in. length) at harvest.
• Need faster residue breakdown.
• Need earlier soil warm up and dry out.
• Need improved handling of residue by tillage and planting equipment, especially in high yielding corn.
• Need to reduce passes needed for shredding, cutting, or sizing stalks with other implements.
• Need a good performance in dry conditions.
• Harvesting in heavy grass, vines, and weeds.
• Need to lower power consumption on non-chopping corn heads.

(B) Straight Fluted Stalk Rolls—Optional

Recommended if:

• Need slow residue breakdown.
• Want maximum residue at planting time.
• Want to trap more snow/conserve moisture.
• Need better residue flow through narrow spaced drills when no-tilling.
• Need more complete shredding with a flail shredder.
• Need good performance in moderately dry, brittle conditions where stalks break off at or slightly below the ear.
• Need to lower power consumption by corn head.

(C) Intermeshing Knife Stalk Rolls—Optional

Recommended if:

• Need best material handling for non-chopping corn heads.
• Harvesting in damp, tough, and high moisture conditions.
• Need faster residue breakdown.
• Need earlier soil warm up and dry out.
• Need improved handling of residue by tillage and planting equipment, especially in high yielding corn.
• Need to reduce passes needed for shredding, cutting, or sizing stalks with other implements.
