Hydraulic Accumulator Location

Avoid serious injury from contact with hydraulic oil and gas under pressure. Before removing hydraulic components, disassembling or changing accumulators:
  1. Relieve system hydraulic pressures. Refer to Operator Manual and Repair Manual for system information.
  2. Stop engine and remove key.

Use only DRY NITROGEN for recharging accumulator. See your John Deere dealer.

NOTE: If different headers are to be used, accumulator precharge should be set for the header with the lowest recommended precharge. When changing headers during harvest season, there is usually no need to change accumulator precharge pressure. Performance of accumulator system covers a large range of headers for most conditions.

Accumulator functions as a precharged reservoir, so that when hydraulic functions are activated it helps to maintain instantaneous pressure and flow.

Accumulators are maintenance free and cannot be repaired if damaged. See your John Deere dealer for further information.
