Avoid damage to draper belts. Before fully lowering reel, extend fore/aft cylinders completely.

Proper setting of minimum reel height protects against unexpected reel movements that can place reel fingers in contact with cutterbar. For higher harvest speeds or rough conditions, increased clearance may be necessary.

Position cutterbar in highest (upward) position. Position may be obtained by:

    • Setting HydraFlex™ pressure to maximum (locking up cutterbar).
    • Completely lowering platform on level surface.

  2. Completely lower reel.

  3. Adjust reel finger pitch to maximum extension before setting clearance.

  4. IMPORTANT: Reel finger pitch setting will need changed depending on finger wear.

Position reel fingers as close to cutterbar as possible, using fore/aft cylinders.

  5. Loosen jam nut (A).

  6. IMPORTANT: Minimum clearance specified is critical at the mid span of reel assembly between main reel support arms. Setting to clearances smaller than specified results in reel fingers being cut off.

Raise or lower reel by rotating shaft (B). Adjust each shaft so clearance between reel fingers and cutterbar is to specification.
