Rephasing Reel Lift Cylinders
IMPORTANT: Always keep reel level with cutterbar.
-
Single Reel Platform:
If one end of reel is lower than other, reel lift system needs
to be rephased..
-
Raise reel to highest position or lower to lowest position and
hold control switch for a few seconds.
-
Reel should now be level. If reel is still not level, air is
trapped in system and must be bled out (see BLEEDING REEL LIFT CYLINDER
SYSTEM in this section).
-
Split Reel Platform:
If center or either end reel arm is lower than other arms, reel
lift system needs to be rephased.

Split Reel Shown
A - Valve Handles
Completely lower reel.
-
IMPORTANT: Reel must be lowered before opening valves. Opening
valves with reel raised can cause irregular arm movement resulting
in platform damage.
Open both valve handles (A).
-
IMPORTANT: Do not raise reel more than half way while valves
are open, or transfer of oil may damage platform.
Partially raise and lower reel several times.
-
With reel fully lowered, close both valve handles.
-
Reel should be level. If reel is not level, air is trapped in
the hydraulic system and must be bled out (see BLEEDING REEL LIFT
CYLINDER SYSTEM in this section).
