Automatic Header Height Control — Rigid Mode

Operating a flex platform in rigid mode may be desired for some crops and conditions. A combination of hydraulic adjustments and mechanical components will allow a flex platform to be operated in rigid mode.

NOTE: Rigid mode sensor arms MUST be in down position and calibrated each time they are used.

  1. Set HydraFlex pressure to maximum, >2700 psi (186 bar).

    C - Lockout Bracket

    D - Hardware

Operator may install lockout brackets on float arms with hydraulic cylinders (B), if desired.

On float arms without a HydraFlex cylinder (A), install lockout brackets (C) and hardware (D).

IMPORTANT: Avoid equipment damage. Lockout brackets must be removed before using platform in flex mode again.

E - Pin Location (Sensor Arm Locked Up)

F - Cap Screws and Lock Nuts

Auxiliary sensor arms (A) are located under platform, attached to a float arm (B).

    To release sensor arms:

    1. Remove quick-lock pin (C) and allow arm to lower.

NOTE: Quick-lock pins must be removed for off the ground cutting.

    2. Install pin at storage location (D).

IMPORTANT: Avoid header height malfunction and equipment damage. When sensor arms are unlocked (in use), quick-lock pin MUST be stored on float arm (D). Do NOT store pin on sensor arm (E).

NOTE: To achieve higher cut heights it may be necessary to remove hardware (F), adjust sensor arm reach, and reinstall hardware.

  4. To store sensor arms:

    1. Remove quick-lock pin from storage location (D).

    2. Completely lift sensor arm and install pin to lock arm in raised position (E).
