70 Series Fault Codes

IMPORTANT: Condition causing fault code(s) must be corrected before calibration procedure can continue.

This list shows typical fault codes for 70-Series machines. If a fault code is not found on the list or the solution does not correct the problem, call your John Deere dealer with fault code number.

  • Adjust right-hand side height sensor minimum above 0.50 V with linkage adjustment or rotation of sensor.
  • Verify that sensor is plugged into harness.
  • Check for signal short to ground or power short to ground.

Right-hand side header height sensor voltage is greater than 4.50 V

  • Adjust right-hand side height sensor maximum below 4.50 V with linkage adjustment or rotation of sensor.
  • Check for signal short to power.

Cutterbar pressure voltage is out of range. Calibration will not proceed.

  • Verify that the sensor is plugged into the header harness.
  • Check sensor power and signal for shorts and shorts to ground.
