Replace Fan Belt—9.0 L Engine

NOTE: Fan drive belt is equipped with an automatic tensioner which does not require adjustment.

1. 
   N103028-UN-10APR13

   
   N103029-UN-10APR13

   A - Cap Screw

   B - Left-Hand Engine Side Shield

   C - Cap Screw

   D - Fan Shield

   Raise hood.

2. Remove cap screws (A) and left-hand engine side shield (B).

3. Remove cap screws (C) and fan shield (D).

4. 
   N103030-UN-10APR13

   A - Tensioner

   Install 13 mm (1/2 in.) breaker bar in tensioner (A).

5. Rotate tensioner clockwise to release belt tension.

6. Remove belt from pulleys and carefully release tensioner.

7.

   Fan Belt Routing—9.0 L Engine

   A - Alternator Pulley

   B - Idler Pulley

   C - Fan Pulley

   D - Drive Pulley

   E - Tensioner Pulley

   Replace belt as shown.

8. Install fan shield and left-hand engine side shield.
