Key Switch

CAUTION: Sound horn before starting engine to clear people away from the machine.

To avoid the possibility of personnel injury or death, start ONLY from the operator seat. Do not start engine by shorting across starter terminals. Machine will start in gear if normal circuit is bypassed.

A - Accessories Position

B - Off Position

C - Accessory/Run Position

D - Start Position

Key switch is located on the right-hand side of the steering column and has four positions:

• Accessory position (A) allows accessories such as radio and windshield wiper to operate.
• Off position (B) shuts off engine and all accessory functions.
• Accessory/Run position (C) allows all accessories to operate and engine to run once it has been started.
• Start position (D) is a momentary switch position that cranks the engine. Once the engine starts and the switch is released, it will return to accessory/run position. (See Starting The Engine in this section for important details on starting your machine.)
