Clean Flowmeter(s)—As Required

  1. NOTE:

    A - Flowmeter Inserts

    B - Flowmeter Shut-Off Valve

    C - Turbine

    Clean flowmeter(s) (A) as needed with John Deere Brake and Parts Cleaner if the following condition exists:
    • Application rates fluctuate

    Shut off solution pump.



  2. CAUTION: Do not close the flowmeter shut-off valve (B) with the solution pump running. This can trap pressure in the plumbing that can be hazardous when removing flowmeters for cleaning.

    Close flowmeter shut-off valve (B).

  3. CAUTION: Spray system can contain hazardous material which can cause serious injury or death to you or others. Wear protective clothing, eyewear, and gloves. Clean flowmeter in a area where people, animals, vegetation and water supply etc. cannot be contaminated.

    Unscrew flowmeter inserts (A) and remove.

  4. Clean insert with John Deere Brake and Parts Cleaner (Part No. TY26101) by spraying cleaner through turbine (C) and bearing area.

  5. Install insert in flowmeters.

  6. Open flowmeter shut-off valve.

    NOTE: If flowmeter issue is not resolved with brake cleaner, see you John Deere dealer for flowmeter reconditioning.

    Do not allow solution to remain in flowmeters for extended periods of time as chemicals may solidify and cause performance issues.
