A - Coolant Level
Check coolant level, using sight tube. Coolant level (A) should be between “HOT LEVEL” and “COLD LEVEL” marks on overflow tank depending on engine temperature.If coolant level is low, check for any signs of leakage and repair if necessary. Check all hose clamps for tightness. Add soft water, antifreeze mixture, as specified in Diesel Engine Coolant (engines with wet sleeve cylinder liners) in the Fuels, Lubricants and Coolants section to overflow tank.
IMPORTANT: Add John Deere COOL-GARD™ II Coolant Extender as necessary to maintain proper additive levels. (See John Deere COOL-GARD II Coolant Extender in the Fuels And Lubricants section.)
