Remove and Install Auxiliary Drive Belt

  1. N105939
    N105939-UN-05SEP13

    A - Cap Screw, 4 used

    B - Cap Screw, 2 used

    C - Drive Shaft Shield

    Park machine on level surface, shut off engine and remove key.



  2. Remove cap screws (A).

  3. Loosen cap screws (B) and remove drive shaft shield (C).

  4. IMPORTANT:

    B - Drive Shaft

    Do not start machine after drive shaft has been removed. Damage to multiple machine parts will occur.

    Remove and retain cap screws (A) from drive shaft (B). Position drive shaft to allow access to belt.

    A - 1/2 Inch Breaker Bar

    B - Tensioning Arm

    C - Belt

    Insert a 1/2 inch breaker bar (A) into tensioning arm (B) and rotate counterclockwise to relieve belt tension. Remove belt (C).

    Auxiliary Belt Routing

    A - Air Compressor Pulley

    B - Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley

    C - Hydro Pumps Pulley

    D - Tensioner Pulley

    Install new belt as shown.



  7. Verify belt is properly seated in all pulleys.

  8. IMPORTANT: Apply PM37418 Thread Lock and Sealer (Medium Strength) to threads of drive shaft cap screws and tighten to specification.

    Install previously removed cap screws to drive shaft and tighten to specification.

  9. Install previously removed cap screws, nuts and bracket.

  10. Install previously removed cap screws, nuts and hose supports.

  11. Install previously removed drive shaft shield and tighten retaining hardware.
