Check Engine Oil Level—Daily

   Park machine on level ground. Stop engine and remove key.

2. NOTE: Dipstick (B) is attached to the fill cap.

   Remove fill cap (A) and clean oil from dipstick.

3. IMPORTANT: Fill cap must be fully tightened to provide an accurate oil level reading.

   Install fill cap, then remove and check oil level on dipstick.

4. Oil level is adequate if level is between ADD hole (C) and FULL hole (D).

5. If oil level is below the ADD hole, then add engine oil and recheck until level is adequate. See Diesel Engine Oil—Interim Tier 4, Final Tier 4, Stage IIIB and Stage IV or Diesel Engine Oil—Tier 2 and Stage II in Fuels, Lubricants and Coolants section of this manual.

   IMPORTANT: Do not operate engine with oil level below the “ADD” mark on dipstick.

   Do not over fill oil level.

After long storage period

Check whether dirt or other foreign bodies have collected under the hood or cab. If so, remove them.
