Select the Setup softkey or press BoomTrac Pro button on Sprayer Main Page to access page.

On BoomTrac Pro Page the following are displayed and can be changed:

Sensor Target Mode (A)— This section allows the user to select between “Canopy” and “Ground” modes of operation.

“Canopy” mode causes a boom height sensor to react to the first thing it sees looking vertically to the ground. This mode can be used to maintain a boom height relative to the top of the crop canopy or to the ground if no crop exists.

“Ground” mode causes a boom height sensor to look past the first obstacle it sees looking vertically to the ground. This mode can be used to maintain the boom height relative to the ground when there is crop present in the field. It is important to note that in dense crop conditions, the boom height sensors may not be able to see the ground. In this case, it is better to run in canopy mode and maintain some distance between the booms and the top of the crop canopy.

Raise Response (B)— Allows operator to adjust the response sensitivity of the boom raise function. Operator can choose from settings 1-5, with 5 being the most sensitive (if performance is unstable, try a lower setting to improve).

Lower Response (C)— Allows operator to adjust the response sensitivity of the boom lower function. Operator can choose from settings 1-5, with 5 being the most sensitive (if performance is unstable, try a lower setting to improve).

Target Height Input Mode (D)— This section allows the user to select between “Match Center Frame” and “Individual” modes of operation.

  • Match Center Frame mode—matchs the left and right target heights to the center frame target height (E). In this mode, the center frame height (40) is highlighted. This is the only height the user can modify when operating in this mode.
  • Individual mode—allows the user to individually change the target height of each boom section (i.e. left boom, right boom, and center frame). NOTE: The target heights here are the distance from the bottom of the nozzle tips to the target (ex. crop canopy, ground).

BoomTrac Enabled (F)— When checked this allows the system to be activated using the resume button on the multifunction control handle. Unchecking the box keeps the system from turning on using the multifunction control handle resume button.

Center Frame Control (G)— When checked it allows the center frame to actively control up and down through the field based on the center frame sensor. In some conditions it may be beneficial to uncheck this box to keep the center frame from over-controlling. When unchecked the center frame will control once to target height and stop.

Roll Sensor Reading (H)— on the center frame. The value should be "0" when booms are unfolded and level. The value should be positive when the center frame rolls clockwise and negative when rolled counterclockwise.

Boom Section Softkey (I)— allows operator to access sensor setup page.

Operator can set the serial numbers for the sensors, enable\disable sensors and view sensor information.

BoomTrac Status (J)— allows operator to access status page.

Select Enter button (K) to return to Sprayer Main Page.
