Primary Display Unit (PDU) Features

(1)—Stop Indicator Lamp (Red): illuminates when a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is set with a Stop Level Priority and requires machine be stopped at once and problem corrected. (Example: Engine Oil Pressure Low).

(2)—Caution Indicator Lamp (Yellow): illuminates when a DTC is set with a Warning Level Priority and requires machine be stopped at the earliest convenience. (Example: Engine Air Filter Restriction).

(3)—Information Warning Indicator (Blue): illuminates when a DTC is set with an Information Level Priority to alert operator to be aware of a condition. (Example: Low Battery Voltage).

(4)—Tachometer (Engine rpm) Indicator: shows engine speed in multiples of 10. If “- - -” is displayed, no speed is being received.

(5)—Vehicle Speed Indicator: shows machine speed (km/h or mph).

(6)—High Exhaust System Temperature (HEST) Indicator: illuminates when ECU indicates that the temperature is above threshold.

(7)—Two-Wheel Steer Indicator (If Equipped): illuminates when two-wheel steering is selected. Front wheels steer with rear wheels locked in straight ahead position.

(8)—Exhaust Filter Cleaning Indicator (Final Tier 4/Stage IV): illuminates when exhaust filter system is actively performing exhaust filter cleaning. When indicator illuminated and flashing, a parked cleaning is called for. See Exhaust Filter System in Engine and Drive Train section of this book for details.

(9)—Left Turn Indicator: shows operator that a left turn is planned. Simultaneous operation of right/left turn indicators shows operator that the hazard lights are activated.

(10)—Transmission Speed Indicator: shows the transmission state and target speed.

The first position character indicates the transmission state:

  • “ P” indicates the multi-function lever is in the “Park” position
  • “F” indicates the transmission in field ranges and multi-function lever is out of the “Park” position
  • “T” indicates the transmission in transport ranges and multi-function lever is out of the “Park” position

The second two characters indicate the target speed (in mph) when the multi-function lever is in the full forward position and engine operating at high idle. A “L” is displayed when low speed range is selected.

(11)—Four-Wheel Steer Indicator (If Equipped): illuminates when four-wheel steering is selected. Front and rear wheels turn following the same radius.

(12)—High Beam Indicator: shows operator that high beam lights are currently selected.

(13)—Crab Steer Indicator (If Equipped): illuminates when crab steering is selected. Front and rear wheels turn in the same direction so the machine offsets right or left.

(14)—Trailer Lights (If Equipped): illuminates when trailer turn signals are functioning properly.

(15)—Transport Lock: illuminates when transport lock is engaged. When engaged, the transport lock will disable the following functions:

  • Master ON/OFF switch
  • Tread adjustment
  • Hydraulic boom movements (folding/unfolding)

(16)—Right Turn Indicator: shows operator that a right turn is planned. Simultaneous operation of right/left turn indicators shows operator that the hazard lights are activated.

(17)—Solution Pump Indicator: illuminated when solution pump is active.

(18)—Agitation Level Indicator: illuminated when agitation is active and displays the amount valve is opened.

(19)—Headland Management System (If Equipped): illuminates when the system is enabled. Headland Management System (HMS) automatically raises and lowers the boom when vehicle exits and enters the headland.

(20)—Dry Spreader Spinners Indicator: illuminates when spinners are active.

(21)—Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge: indicates the engine coolant temperature. Green area indicates normal operating temperature, red indicates an overheating condition.

(22)—Hydraulic Oil Temperature Gauge: indicates the hydraulic oil temperature. Green area indicates normal operating temperature, red indicates an overheating condition.

(23)—Fuel Level Gauge: indicates the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

(24)—Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Level Gauge: Displays DEF level relative to fuel level. DEF consumption is 1:1 ratio to diesel fuel level.

(25)— Dry Spreader - Master On Indicator: illuminated when “ Master On” switch is activated on multifunction control lever.

(26)—AutoTrac Indicator: illuminated anytime AutoTrac™ is actively controlling the steering system.

(27)—Swath Control Pro Indicator: illuminates when Swath Control Pro is enabled.

(28)—Spray - Master On Indicator: illuminated when (Master On) switch is activated on multifunction control handle.

(29)—Cruise Control Indicator: illuminates when the hydrostatic transmission is being controlled in the “cruise” mode by the software.

(30)—Wheel Slip Control Indicator: illuminates when wheel slip control is in ready state. The indicator will flash when actively controlling to eliminate slip.

(31)—Starting Aid Indicator—6.8 L Engine Only: illuminates when the engine control unit (ECU) activates the starting aid on the engine. When starting aid indicator is ON, the timer is displayed instead of vehicle speed. The timer may not always be available, but when available it will be displayed. The timer counts down to zero.
