NOTE: The initial break-in service interval of a new or rebuilt
wet sleeve engine with Break-in Plus must go at least 100 hours to
assure the surface mating of the rings and liners has had an opportunity
to occur. The 100 hour minimum applies to all new or rebuilt engines.
The maximum service interval is the same as the service interval recommendations
listed in Engine Oil and Filter Service Intervals—Final Tier
4 Engines located in Fuels Lubricants and Coolants section of this
Operator’s Manual

Remove Filter From Cover
A - Crankcase Drain Plug
B - Oil Filter Cover
C - Plug
Operate engine to warm oil. Stop engine.

NOTE: Engine crankcase holds 31 L (32.8 qt.).
Place suitable container below drain plug (A) to catch oil.
Remove crankcase drain plug.

Replace plug after oil has drained.

Using a 32 mm wrench, unscrew oil filter cover (B) and lift,
allow oil filter to drain into crankcase.
NOTE: Do not remove plug (C) on the base of the oil filter housing.
Oil will automatically drain back into crankcase when filter is removed.

While holding cover, strike filter against solid surface to
remove. Discard used filter.

Remove old O-ring and replace with new O-ring provided with
new filter element.

Press new filter into cover until it snaps into place.

Insert cover and filter into oil filter housing, then tighten
cover to torque specification.
