Use of CDs (General Information)
With this radio system standard audio CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs
with a diameter of 12 cm (4.7 in.) can be played. When burning your
own CDs, make sure they are not burned with a speed above 16x, otherwise
playback problems may occur.
Only use CDs with the Compact Disc Logo to ensure proper operation.
Playback problems may result from CDs with copy protection. Proper
operation of CDs with copy protection cannot be guaranteed!
The CD player can playback tracks from a playlist if such files
(playlists) are stored in the root directory of the music CD. For
details on compiling playlists, refer to the description of the CD
burner software.
IMPORTANT: Risk of damage to the CD drive! CD singles with a
diameter of 8 cm (3 in.) and contoured CDs (shape CDs) must not be
used. Handle CDs carefully and avoid any damage to the
CDs. Touch CDs only at the edge, if possible.
If necessary, clean CDs with a lint-free cloth; do not use any
solvent. Always wipe CDs towards the outside.
Do not expose CDs to direct sun light and keep them in suitable
protective covers.
Do not put stickers on the CDs. It is better to label them with
a suitable, commercially available pen.
We will not assume liability for damage to the CD drive caused
by unsuitable or damaged CDs.
