    A - High Idle Switch

Ladder automatically retracts when machine moves.

  2. Press high idle switch (A) to achieve maximum engine speed.

  3. IMPORTANT: Machine damage can occur if target speed switch is moved from a higher target speed to a lower target speed causing the engine to exceed 3000 rpm's. Target speed can be changed when machine is moving or stopped.

If Wheel Slip Control is not installed, drive train damage can occur if excessive wheel spin is occurring.

Maximum transport speeds are not available when tread width is not adjusted to narrowest setting.

NOTE: When machine is started or has been shut off and restarted, low range is automatically selected by the Chassis Control Unit (CCU).

    1. Field Range ONLY:TO CHANGE TARGET SPEED IN 1.6 km/h (1 mph) INCREMENTS; Press and release top of switch (A) to increase target speed in 1.6 km/h (1 mph) increments until desired target speed is reached or press and release bottom of switch to decrease target speed in 1.6 km/h (1 mph) increments until desired target speed is reached.

    2. Field Ranges ONLY:TO CHANGE TARGET SPEEDS MORE RAPIDLY; Press and hold top of switch (A) to increase automatically through target speed selections, release switch when desired target speed is reached. Once top field speed is reached, operator must release and then press top of switch again to advance into transport speeds. Master Spray switch must be “OFF” before machine will go into transport speeds. Decrease through target speed selections by pressing bottom of switch until desired target speed is reached. Once lowest field mode speed is reached, operator must release and then press bottom of switch again to enter low range.

Target speed selected (C) and actual current vehicle speed (D) are displayed on primary display unit.

  4. Push multifunction control handle (B) slowly forward to start forward motion. Continue pushing multifunction control handle forward to increase ground speed. Push top of target speed switch to increase ground speed when engine reaches maximum rpm.

NOTE: Machine will attempt to match and hold actual travel speed to target speed with engine at wide open throttle and multifunction control handle full forward in field and transport modes. The cruise indicator (E) will illuminate when the vehicle speed is being controlled in the “cruise” mode. This feature not available in Low range.

CAUTION: When transporting machine downhill at transport speeds, the machine will try to hold the target speed until the engine starts to overspeed. At this time the vehicle speed could increase beyond the target speed. Before starting down a hill, select a speed (less than 35 mph) that is appropriate for the load on the machine and the steepness and length of the slope.

  5. To reverse direction of travel, move multifunction control handle to neutral and press brake pedal as needed to bring machine to a complete stop, then move handle to the right and rear to back up machine. The reverse speed available is proportional to the distance the handle is moved.
