A - Cap Screw

B - Access Cover

C - Cap Screw

D - Shield

E - Cross And Bearings Assembly

F - Shaft

  1. Remove cap screw (A) and access cover (B).

  2. Remove cap screws (C) and shield (D)

  3. Visually inspect for missing retaining rings and premature wear of the cross and bearings assemblies (E) . Check shaft (F) for play in vertical, horizontal or radial direction. If any of these conditions exists, (see your John Deere dealer).
