Fill Grease Tank

The grease tank (A) is located on the right-hand side of the machine beside the accumulator. The tank can be filled directly or can be filled from a drum of lubricant using the optional lubricant transfer pump connected to couplers in the power module.

  1. Remove filler cap (B) from tank (A).

  2. Fill tank with John Deere Spindle Lubricant.

  3. Install filler cap.

  1. Shut off engine.

  2. Insert inlet tube (A) of transfer pump in a drum of John Deere Spindle Lubricant.

  3. NOTE: Return hose, pressure hose, and grease hose are part of transfer pump assembly.

    Connect hydraulic return hose with check valve (B) (labeled OUT) to return hose coupler (C) on power module.

  4. Attach hydraulic pressure hose (D) (labeled IN) to pressure hose coupler (E) on power module.

  5. Attach hydraulic grease hose (F) to grease hose coupler (G) on power module.

  6. Start engine and pump grease until tank is full. Shut off engine.

  7. Disconnect hydraulic hoses and recap all couplers.
